Walking the pipeline talk

I marched in the Seattle Pride Parade with my local District 1 candidate, a solid progressive who has worked on paid sick leave legislation and the increase in Seattle's minimum wage.

What this meant was that I couldn't be with the Bernie contingent. I avoided all other campaigns and issues. When I doorbell for Lisa, half the people who answer the doors are likely to support Bernie Sanders, but others favor Clinton or O'Malley. I have my choices for the two at large district seats, but voters in my district are divided among several candidates for those seats. To really mobilize support for a local candidate, it just isn't possible to do more than one thing at a time. I even left my marijuana leaf lei home.

(Don't bother clicking unless you live in or near Seattle--instead please attach yourself to a school board, city council or water commissioner candidate near you. This is where state legislators, congresspeople, governors--and yes, presidents--come from.)
