Hillary PAC has launched a Video...this is where her Campaign Wants Her to Go...
What do you all think? Can she be successful with a "Two Prong Attack?" Speeches she gives that rake in the money promoting Wall Street while Bill tours with a Country Singer on a Road Show riding in back of the "Red Truck" (he also used in '08) giving Stump Speeches talking about "The Man from Hope" who brought prosperity to Wall Street while he Deregulated Wall Street, Passed NAFTA, Telecom Reform, etc. Giving Away the Middle Class and leaving the Poor with "Welfare Reform." If they are targeting the former "Sun Belt" then I wonder if they've lost their minds because we aren't doing so well. And the Oil Price Drop hurts the Southwest and Montana who've been riding high on the Shale Oil Boom.
Here's Hillary Pac's November Contribution to get the "Grassroots Campaign" for her Presidency involved:

"STAND WITH HILLARY PAC Launches a Grass Roots Campaign to Take Back the South (Sun Belt) for Dems"

Looking back in time, learning hindsights always right.
We came together in 08, a defining moment we all can celebrate.
And now its 20-16 and this time Im a thinking,
Guys, put your boots on and lets smash this ceiling.
Oh I been thinkin about one great lady
Like the women in my life, Shes a mother, a daughter, and through it all shes a loving wife.
Oh, there is something about her this great lady.
Caring, hard working once a First lady
She fights for country n my family.
Now its time for us to Stand Up with Hillary
Hillary. Stand with Hillary
Dont matter if youre living across this great land in a red or a blue state. Cuz Our American Dream is at stake, and theres some hard choices, that need to be made.
Were needing a leader whos tough and ready, whose got vision.
For me its Hillary. And thats my final decision.
Oh I been thinking about one great lady
Like the women in my life
Shes a mother, a daughter, and through it all shes loving wife
Oh there is something about her this great lady
Caring, Hard Working once a First lady
She fights for country n my family
Now its time for us to Stand Up with Hillary
Stand America with Hillary

(53,475 posts)Hillary is owned by Wall Street. And no, not all Democrats feel they must suck up to the Wall Street money trough to get elected.
Take, for example, this lady ...
Bill Clinton changed the Democratic Party, and Elizabeth Warren is trying to change it back at least when it comes to Wall Street.
The latest intra-party skirmish has come over the so-called "CRomnibus" (don't ask) spending bill that would have funded the government for the next year, as well as, among other pet projects, killed Dodd-Frank's prohibition on big banks using federally-insured money to make exotic bets. Now, that wouldn't gut financial reform by any means, but it would be the latest step in Wall Street's death-by-a-thousand-tweaks campaign against it. And that was too much for Warren, who led a liberal revolt against the bill that ultimately failed.
But what would this derivatives change even do? Well, swaps are just bets on everything from interest rates to currencies to whether a company is going to go under or not.
...The bigger issue is whether every legislative choke point will turn into another opportunity to whittle away at financial reform. That's why Warren and her allies have decided to draw a line in the sand here, over swaps push-outs. If they don't fight this battle, then they'll have to get ready for the next one over even more important parts of Dodd-Frankand so on, and so on.
But this isn't a fight that all Democrats want. Some of them are happy to give Wall Street what it wants. That's been true ever since Clinton turned them into not the party of business, but a party of businessand particularly Wall Street business. The Warren wing of the Democratic Party, of course, wants to change this. That's why they oppose filling even lower-level Treasury positions with Wall Street veterans, and why they've rallied against a giveaway to big banks tucked away in the government funding bill.

(49,035 posts)I challenge you to provide a quote where she supports Keystone.
2. TPP. This is a black hole. I support efforts to influence its final form, but blaming somebody for something that is not known is silly.
3. Pro-War. That is a fantasy. Until she declares war you have nothing but a fantasy. Do I need to remind you about Clark's struggles with the same issue regarding Iraq, and he was definitely not Pro-War.
4. Pro-H1B. I do not believe Hillary will do anything to hurt our economy/jobs situation if it is clear what needs to be done. And further, I do not believe she ever has. Economics especially global economics is a complex thing.
5. GMO. What you got on that anyways? I think you have bought into some scary shit.

(1,301 posts)I have seen no such progressive inclinations from her in the last 10 years, since she became a player. Yeah, she voted consistently with the party when the party voted left on social issues, but that's not exactly a hallmark of a progressive leader.
Contrast with Al Gore, who is much *more* progressive today than he was back in 2000.

(7,830 posts)"Pragmatism" has brought us monopolies in almost every industry that crush the entrepreneurial hopes of the little guy along with giving him/her/us higher costs with no competition & a government so overrun with corporations and large banks that congressmen let them write the laws to govern themselves. Its killed organized labor and brought us organized wealth. Its tattered the social safety net & harms our land, air, & water every second of every day.
You can paint it any pretty word you like & it can't hide the stench of BS.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) has it out for Walmart. On Tuesday, the freshman senator will hold an event on Capitol Hill calling out the retail giant for its low wages and terrible employment practices. The briefing will be held a week ahead of the nationwide anti-Walmart protests planned for Black Friday.
Warren will be joined by Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.); members of OUR Walmart, a union-backed group helping organize Walmart workers; and representatives from other labor groups. Warren and her colleagues also plan to discuss legislation that could help Walmart employees and other low-wage workers around the country, including measures that would raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour, forbid unpredictable irregular work schedules for part-time workers, and help prevent employers from retaliating against workers who share wage information...

(62,325 posts)why we have elections at all. Why? Because when we go out and elect Dems who then forget their campaign populism in favor of Wall St, we are told 'it isn't their fault'.
Sorry, Clinton believed in the policies he helped implement. And unless Hillary has a total change of heart on her support for Neocon Foreign Wars and Wall St. I don't expect much in the way of Progressive policies from her campaign.

(49,035 posts)So did the voters (eom).

(62,325 posts)I was one of them. He was a Dem, Dems were the good guys. It was years later I learned about his policies such as ending Glass Steagal, 'reforming' Welfare, deregulating Wall St etc. But at that time even people were a bit uneasy about his policies, what choice did they have?
So over and over people voted for the 'lesser evil'.
That seems to be over now. People are realizing that to continue to do that will not only NOT change anything, it emboldens the Right and their political cousins, the Third Way to go even further.
So, we have to start all over it seems. If the party won't listen to the voters, the voters will do what they did in the midterms, start where they live. Vote for ballot issues, focus on their local politicians. That worked, eg, here in NYS fracking is now banned. To try to get that done on a national level, would be impossible.
So, people are focusing on where they DO have some power, locally and eventually they will build a foundation for the Dem Party that doesn't include the Third Way/DLC/ Republican Lite policies.

Jeb vs. Hillary .............In my wildest dreams....I would never have figured we would come to this after that Stolen Election. We Left Dems Worked so Hard...there's no way I could have thought that 13 Years Later......it would be THIS!
The ROT will go (and more exposure of it) until it is SO Evident to the Populace that they have been violated and abused that they have HAD ENOUGH.
I worry I won't live that long ....these days given we have Bush vs Hillary.......but, I'm not giving up trying to change the dialog for the future and exposing to those who are Young who will carry the torch.
We've who have lived through this TIME need to use our "Way Back Machine" Skills to retrieve News and to Post and Post to Inform and Reform. Because the Corporate MSM is going to work Overtime.
So...I have hope that Reforms can Gain Support....If We Keep Educating.

So WHY was That? I had to see it on Bloomberg and not DU...where we have many Hillary supporters that surely I would have seen that Video posted here. Did they inform the PAC early that it was a "No Go" that people could tell it was LIP-SYNCED?
Is there an Underground/Underground that Vetts these things before they get out to the Public...including Dem Websites and are Shut Down before they Get Out There?
This Video appeared today on Bloomberg News.......WHY did it TAKE SO LONG?

Sometimes I think Reagan destroyed US democracy forever by proving that what people really want is a B-Team actor fronting for big money and big war, and it doesn't matter a damn what actually goes down under that facade so long as there's a fireside, a soothing voice and jellybeans.
I couldn't watch it, it was just too damn awful.
