Kaine, Podesta, and Salazar
Is it against DU rules to point out these three as neo-liberals of concern?
Their records point to the opposite of Populism on many topics and harken back to when our party took a hard rightward turn during the DLC era.
Or are we just suppose to be blind "cheerleaders"?

(30,158 posts)I'm sending Hillary another $100 today. Everyone here needs to do this.
If Hillary was currently the chairperson of Goldman Sachs and running for President... at this point we would be "blind cheerleaders" for her.
Seriously, have you seen the white supremacist, racist, misogynist, anti Semite that the "alt right" has gotten nominated for the GOP?
I'm not going to go through another W. like presidency... only 10 times worse.
After the election you can complain about who she has picked for what. Not now, not when our very country is at stake.

...I should have pointed out, like I've said in other posts, that I will be voting for her.
Your point is well taken and explained well.
I'll cool my jets...for now.
And OBTW...I am convinced this election won't be close. She will stomp him and rightly so. There's simply not enough uneducated white males for a tRump victory.
I still encourage every swing state Dem to get off their asses and vote Dem. Take nothing for granted.

(11,175 posts)The surprising vote totals of Trump and Sanders, plus poll results in which so many people say that the country is on the wrong track, have led many commentators to characterize this as a "change" election. This provides an explanation of how a buffoon like Trump is consistently polling within single digits of Clinton -- that he's identified with change and she's seen as a candidate of the status quo.
On this view, Clinton would be more likely to win if she pivoted (pardon the cliche) away from the neoliberals and instead acted as more of a populist.
