I'd like to know what you would like from this group. It is your group, after all.

When I created this group, my main intent was to provide a forum for Democratic Party reformers, post Dem primary, should it be needed. We are about a month away from that possibility, and it's my opinion that we should take advantage of that month while we still have it.

Speak out, friends, and tell us what you want to see from the PRDP.

1. The process is inevitable, especially once the GOP collapses beyond repair

and that is going to happen sooner rather than later.

I just doubt the wisdom of doing this so close to a general election while the Republicans are still there.

2. Long term, we're gonna need to work downticket and local party players.

Clearly, the top of ticket only happens every four years and out impact on the top slot is limited (but still important).

The rest of the time, we can all learn who are our local party leaders, what are they doing and why, how do we caucus for change or replace them?

That's my first gut reaction-- work locally all year long, every year, and elect more progressive Dems to all offices.

3. Grass root political actiism is one leg

Grassroots journalism is another area that needs attention

4. Could use some highlighting of success stories

We could use some focus on
successful efforts in people powered
actions, businesses, community building etc.

The neo-liberal and two-party narratives
have occulted public perceptions, creating the
delusion that There Is No Alternative. (TINA)

Looking at the successes and exploring
possibilites could open perceptions
as to what populist Reforms can provide.

Few people I speak with even know
about publicly financed college in Europe.

Most of the same people have zero Idea what
co-op businesses are.

And a "living wage" seems like pie in the sky
to them.

Promote the end game to sell the revolution

We're may also need to discuss what sites in addition to DU can be used to advocate for reform.

6. Indeed, yet capturing eyeballs is a priority...

but creating a coherent, easily
digested narrative is paramount.
