Seriously, the Celtics are trading Jaylen Brown to the Sixers of all teams for Paul George, whos never won anything in his life and never played in a Finals?
They were willing to break up the core of Brown and Tatum for Giannis, but didnt want to trade Balor Scheierman or Hugo Gonzalez for him? Then they became desperate to shop their former Finals MVP. The Heat obviously have an impressive front court. What about everybody else?
The Kawhi Leonard deal makes no sense. Lets trade our present and future after making the playoffs this year to bring back a 35-year-old who isnt always healthy.
The Hornets, dont know what theyre doing in sending off LaMelo and Miles Bridges and LaMelo wasnt even being shopped.
At this point, on paper, I give five teams a chance to win the championship next year: New York, Philly, Detroit, OKC and San Antonio. Of course, the game isnt played on paper and someone else can emerge.
Its just that some of these moves make no sense to me.

(3,365 posts)He is mooving from a starter to being probably the 8th best player on the Pacers line-up. I always liked his game. Lots of skills and rarely makes bad plays. He can fit in many different roles.
The Pacers got to the finals because of an unprecedented level of depth. They play up-tempo, not because that is an efficient style. They play that way to wear the other teams out mentally and physically. In their finals run, they routinely played 10 players with significant minutes. NOBODY does that in the playoffs.
When they lost Miles, Mathurin, and Jackson, that formula was in question. But they are now back to the point where Carlisle will be happy to use 10 players. They have some good guys at #11 and #12 who won't see much action unless there are injuries.
