Notre Dame to host WNBA preseason game between Las Vegas Aces, Dallas Wings
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - A lot of star power (and several familiar faces) will be coming to South Bend this spring, as the University of Notre Dame will host a 2025 WNBA preseason game between the Las Vegas Aces and the Dallas Wings.
The contest on May 2 will welcome back three former Notre Dame All-American women’s basketball players: Arike Ogunbowale (Dallas), Jewell Loyd (Las Vegas) and Jackie Young (Las Vegas).
Ogunbowale, Loyd and Young are three of the most decorated student-athletes in Irish women’s basketball history and three of the top players right now in the WNBA.
Tipoff for the May 2 game at Purcell Pavilion is set for 7 p.m. EDT.
Tickets also will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, March 11. Presale tickets will be made available on Tuesday, March 4, to Notre Dame women’s basketball season ticket holders and on Thursday, March 6, to Notre Dame men’s basketball, football and hockey season ticket holders.
