Minnesota Lynx Claim Former Hoosiers WBB Star Grace Berger Off Waivers
The Minnesota Lynx announced on Sunday that their team has claimed former Indiana Hooiser star guard Grace Berger off waivers.
Berger was originally selected 7th overall in the 2023 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever. Underdog WNBA’s X post last Sunday stated that the Indiana Fever team had officially waived guard Grace Berger after a disappointing 2024 season.
Berger was WNBA All-Rookie in 2023, but her role decreased in 2024 with the selection of No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark. During her two-years in Indianapolis, Grace Berger averaged 13.3 minutes per game, averaging 4.2 points and 1.9 assists per game in 47 appearances.
This offseason, Berger is currently playing for OGM Ormanspor in the Turkish Women’s Basketball League, where she is averaging 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals, while shooting 44.7% from the field and 30.6% from three in 17 total games.
