Nashville WNBA expansion team's bid includes logo, colors with Lady Vols, Predators ties
The logo for the Tennessee Summitt WNBA team Bill and Crissy Haslam have submitted a bid for has been released.
The colors may look a little familiar. The primary color selections are Predators gold and a light blue similar to Summitt blue, which is worn by the Lady Vols.
The color selection was suggested by the Haslams. Using Summitt blue specifically hadn't been in discussions, the shade of blue came from watching the Lady Vols.
The team, which will play at Bridgestone Arena if the bid is accepted, is named in honor of legendary Tennessee Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt.
