People who talk too slowly drive me crazy...

I work hard at not interrupting anyone but when someone is pausing between every other word I almost can't stand it. I find myself finishing their sentences. Sometimes out loud.

Anyone else feel this way?

I used to interrupt and tell them to spit it out or get to the point or I'd wave my arm in circles and say 'and.......'. I had/have poor impulse control too.

I've been taking Adderall for awhile now, and I'm much more tolerant, but I haven't run into one of those type of people in a while, so I don't know how I'll react now.

5. When people pause between every other word, I think they've stopped speaking

Then they get mad at me for interrupting when I honestly believe it was my turn to speak.

7. People who talk non-stop also make me crazy. I want to say something after they get their first

story out but then they just lead right into a second one and on and on and then I completely forget what I was going to say and I'm lost in a jumble of their words.

I have to say, "Stop, stop stop" sometimes. Because I feel like I am going to jump out of my skin.

But I have also watched Youtube videos and if they spend too much, (or any) time telling you wat you need to have to do l project I just go to the next one. I look for the shortest video to watch.

otherwise it's not really a conversation.

Sometimes my sister will call and say, "I just have to get this out, so let me vent." And I understand that the call is going to be one sided. I'm okay with that.

9. That is fine. I'm talking about someone who tells a story about something or other and then tells

a related story and than another related story. Like a waterfall of words.

If someone needs help I will listen for sure. But even then I learned in Recovery Inc that you should only listen for 5 minutes because then the person is just complaining!
