Sept. 29, 2024. (WLOS)- Multiple agencies are rallying together to provide assistance to nearly 1 million residents of Western North Carolina that were impacted by the devastation of Helene. The following is a list of available resources for donations, volunteer opportunities and food: - BeLoved Asheville: BeLoved Asheville is organizing volunteers at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 32 Old Charlotte Highway in Asheville. The nonprofit is also accepting donations at this location. More information on donations is available on their Facebook page.
- Pisgah Brewing: The Pisgah Brewing team will be filling up water containers and selling packaged bees to go at their brewer on US-70 from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29.. More information is available on their Facebook page.

⛑ American Red Cross - North Carolina: Anyone who is unable to access needed information can call 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767). Visit redcross.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767) to make a monetary donation or schedule a blood donation appointment. Individuals can also text the word HELENE to 90999 to make a donation. To receive more info., click here. - MANNA FoodBank in Asheville: The non-profit organization is seeking volunteers and donations to help provide assistance to those in need. - Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM): In partnership with the Red Cross this ministry is seeking donations to provide assistance with motel and food costs for residents that have been displaced. The ministry is also looking for food, clothing or monetary donations. To learn more on how you can help, visit their website here.
- Homeward Bound in Asheville: This organization provides help to Asheville's homeless community, by also providing clothing and everyday essential items. They aim to prevent and end homelessness. More information can be found here. - WNC Regional Livestock Center: Donations are being sought to provide feed, fencing supplies along with other essential items to local farmers and animals that were affected by the severe flooding in the area.

- Salvation Army of the Carolinas: An organization known to provide meals for both residents and rescue personnel is seeking assistance. Visit their page on how you can help with donations of food, essentials or by volunteering. - Register of Deeds: The Buncombe County Register of Deeds has developed a web-based form to help people in locating and connecting with residents of Buncombe County. This resource allows individuals to tell the county about anyone who they believe is missing or cannot be reached. This resource is available to anyone within or outside of Buncombe County.
