(18,633 posts)Any other changes in your diet and exercise routine? Does stress also play a part? Fingers crossed you can figure out the cause soon and get it back on track 💖
Edited to add: I didnt intend to suggest you were doing anything wrong to cause the increase 💖💖💖

(12,051 posts)Do you believe that your numbers are high because you have been eating many carby foods? Or are you worried because you usually don't have high numbers like that, and wonder what's causing them?

(5,835 posts)i would not worry about that but
watch the carbs
try to exercise at home
and infection/ inflamation anywhere in the bodt can raise the glucose level.

(8,431 posts)Diabetes with a metabolic disease and is most effectively treated with diet. Exercise helps, but ultimately, cutting sugar and carbs is what will make the difference. For most people.
I had an A1C of 10.6 when diagnosed. It's 5.3 today. And I've been off all diabetes meds for 4 months.
YOU CAN DO IT!

(19,112 posts)or sick, your numbers can go up.
I had bronchitis or something from last of Feb. to 1st of April. I don't have to check my numbers every day, so I'm lucky there. But I was going to stay on my schedule. My open container of strips had expired. So I got another box out. When I got ready to run the control test, my control solution had expired. The container of strips I had was going to expire this month, so I ordered a new box of strips and control solution. When it came, I set up to do the control test, and found that the battery in the meter died. I decided that the universe didn't want me to test. A week or so later, I ordered batteries. I changed the batteries, opened the fresh strips, and did the control test. After a month of delay, I finally tested and was happy to see an acceptable fasting number.
Be sure to check your supplies that they aren't expired, and check information about your blood glucose levels and illness. You might be reassured.
Hope you get through your self isolation with no symptoms showing up!
