My husband and I watched this last night in the theatre. Both of us loved it. I gave it 4 out of 4 stars, he gave it 4 out of 5. Based on a true story back in the 1920s in England. Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley both fantastic. I loved the script. As a playwright myself I'm always analyzing scripts. I won't go into the ending, but both of us were in tears. Me sobbing, him not sobbing but tearing up. The whole audience just sat there for a long time absorbing it.
It was hard at times understanding the talking as they were all talking fast and in deep British/Irish accents, but regardless of that we always got the gist of what was being said. Please let me know what you think after you see it.
