Anybody else seen this one? I'm no big fan of vampire movies, but I have to say this 2008 Swedish production is impressive. It involves a mercilessly-bullied schoolboy and his friendship with a young female vampire; I happened on it today on the Starz movie network. Word has it that a U.S. re-make is planned; I'm betting the Swedish original is the one to go with. Some serious bloodletting scenes, but worthwhile, nonetheless.

(9,958 posts)It was on Syfy last night.
I watched some of it, and it was pretty close to the original (which I thought was excellent.)
Edit to add: the remake is titled, "Let Me In."

(28,763 posts)Guess that movie site I saw today was a tad out of date. I'll stick with the original version, subtitles and all. Thanks for the info.

(287 posts)But Let the Right One In was awesome. I loved it so much I bought the Blu-ray.
Another great vampire movie is Blood & Donuts. It was made in 1995 (Canada). I highly recommend it. It's an offbeat and quirky comedy/horror/romance flick, has a very nice low budget indie feel to it.
That's my list of vampire movies I've liked lol. I am not into vampire movies at all! But those two are great.
Wait! Wait! I forgot Love at First Bite, a 1979 horror/spoof/romance. If you're into spoofs, you'll enjoy it.
