(21,957 posts)wifey has beaten Stage 4 NHL, but the chemo caused her to get MDL (leukemia). I wish they could find a cure that didn't involve chemo or radiation that poisons your body.

(8,335 posts)survivor going on 4 years. Had the standard RCHOP chemo and 35 radiation (IGRT). I saw where she said it would not slow her down with her climate activision. Such a great person!!
That time for me was about a 6-8 month zombie land. You get infused (which can take 4-6 hours per treatment) and then in my case lots of sleep.
Jane can and will beat this. We are all pulling for you!!

(9,691 posts)First diagnosed in 1997. Had aggressive chemo. Came back on him in 2019 (!) - Doc said it may have been an entirely separate cancer but most likely was a recurrence, even after 22 years. This time he had an autologous bone marrow transplant. This used his own bone marrow since the cancer had not spread to his bones. Was a painful ordeal including a month hospitalized in isolation. But 3 years later hes doing great. Wishing the best for Ms. Fonda.
