Related: About this forumBruce Willis "Stepping Away" From Acting Career After Aphasia Diagnosis
One theory I'd seen for Willis doing so many "geezer teaser" movies, where he's got an earpiece and doesn't really interact w actors, is that he was having dementia or memory issues. Good theory.

Bruce Willis is stepping away from his acting career after being diagnosed with aphasia, which leads to the loss of ability to understand or express speech, his family said in a statement posted to social media.
To Bruces amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities, read the statement. As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.

(17,757 posts)1. I would think that with the number of times that he has been shot, blown up, beaten and wrecked
that he would have retired long ago.
In truth, I wish him the best.

One of the local over-the-air TV channels showed it. And I watched "Pulp Fiction" over the last few nights. He had an easier time of things in "The Sixth Sense."

I wonder how many concussions he's gotten over the last 40 years. He lost 2/3 of his hearing in one ear while filming a scene in Die Hard.
It's a shame he's having to leave now. I know he has a few films in the can to be released, but he really hasn't made anything decent since 2019.
