I am watching this really shitty WW III movie from the 1990s

Basically, it's a double plot of decisions makers doing stupid things, and an air crew that is carrying out their stupidity.

Martin Landau, Powers Boothe, Rebecca De Mornay, James Earl Jones, Darren McGavin, Rip Torn, Peter MacNicol, and Jeffrey DeMunn all star in this nonsense of tired plots in the context of a superpower conflict.

I feel like, at this point, I am kind of committed to dissecting this earth worm*, so I am going to watch it to the end. But, man...

* don't dissect a worm if you don't have to. You will invariably cut it's dorsal vessel and squirt nasty worm blood on your ungloved, ninth-grade hands in 6th hour (there were 7) Biology.**

** But I digress.

Here is the movie. It says "excellent." It lies.

I remember discussing nuclear war in elementary school (with reasonable coherency in my retrospection) in the mid-70's.

This hit on a lot of those themes. It had a bit of fail-safe and Dr. Strangelove, but it had really cheesy vibe to it.

In comparison to other stupid movies, Iron Eagle fits the bill in terms of age and plot. But as stupid as that move was, it was enjoyable to *spoiler alert* watch Doug Masterson blow shit up for a half hour. This didn't have that.

Blowing shit up is expensive. They don't do that for cable movies, at least not 30 years ago.
