(68,332 posts)3. A number of years ago, (decades ago, to be honest) someone took the main musical theme from "Giant",
and made it the soundtrack to a TV commercial for Chaps Cologne.
It was the first time I'd ever heard the theme. My mother recognized it right off, and dug out the old soundtrack LP and played it for me.
I hate it when they do that!

Sort of a follow-up drama years later about the women who lived in the Texas town where Giant was made. With Sandy Dennis & Cher. "Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean," adapted from the play.
