Civil rights legend and Georgia Rep. John Lewis will introduce one of the eight best picture nominees this Sunday at the Academy Awards airing on ABC.
The press release didnt identify which film hell introduce but it will likely be Green Book, since that was set in the South during the early 1960s and addresses black-white relationships at the time.

(2,252 posts)Roma was too dull for me. More like looking at a picture than watching a great picture. Green Book is the safe Oscar winner type that usually wins. My favorite this year was A Star Is Born but the voters seemed to take a turn on it during the award season. BlacKKKlansman may be a little too cutting edge for the Academy voters. It reminds us that racism will never die but when you stop fighting it comes back stronger. The final images are a rallying cry against racism in America today.
