I have read much about this film. Hard to describe where I am at the last few months. But....I don't want to watch a movie that has a .....depressing end....This movie got lots of awards...but....
When I am done watching this one, will I feel lousy, depressed, angry...etc?
Or will I feel good. You know, like I truly enjoyed and had fun watching it.....I have heard a lot about this, but any help you can give me, would be appreciated....thank you for reading this and answering if you can.............Stuart

(38,726 posts)I went to see the movie..."Blazing Saddles" with a gal that couldn't laugh..
.I was laughing so hard, that I almost bust my belt..It was so much fun...The lady I went with didn't even laugh..not very enjoyable she said..Oh well..........that was my last date with her...

(15,064 posts)The talking penis ended that date rather quickly. She felt insulted. Guess I should have gotten to know her better. I didn't realize that scene was even in the movie until it happened.

(33,561 posts)I would never trust ANYONE who described Blazing Saddles as "not very enjoyable".
The hell is wrong with her? I would bet you anything that if we sat her down with a movie like Half Baked - she would have the same reaction.
If you are still down - and you've not seen it - Half Baked.
Guilty Pleasure of mine.

(16,296 posts)A good movie, seen it several times and each time getting something new out of it. Tone is "Times lost" , but a comic thread throughout entire movie. Loved the prison episode, cringed at the border crossing part , laffed my ass off at the ski slope episode.

(8,011 posts)When you watch it look for the way he sets up his shots for balance and the use of color.
He's a very clever man and most of his films just get better with age.
I still see things I missed and have seen it at least a half dozen times.
