Trainwreck Review (no spoilers)

I just watched Trainwreck and I have to admit overall the movie was cute. There were parts that were a bit raunchy and some that were even a little goofy, but overall they didn't take too much away from the film. Schumer does an excellent job as a troubled woman who can't seem to get her act together. Bill Hader who plays a sports doctor in my opinion steals the show a bit with his wit and kind smile. LeBron James provides an assist and shows he can step up and deliver in a small, but important role in the film. I won't spoil the ending except to say the last 5 minutes of the movie were well written and delivered and also funny as hell.

Amy shows a plausibly vulnerable, yet unexpected side and the multiple cameos were an added bonus.

LeBron James was great. I'm not a basketball fan, but I think the guy might have an acting career waiting for him.

I caught Daniel Radcliffe, Marisa Tomei, Matthew Broderick, Marv Albert, Chris Evert (all as themselves), Tim Meadows and the black woman on the train whose name I can't place. Also some athletes seemed familiar (though I'm not a sports fan, so not sure.) Tilda Swinton was unexpected and good, but Bill Hader was excellent.

Wouldn't want to give away any spoilers, but I had expected more from Amy Schumer - whom I am still a huge fan of. She has so much more wit, more creativity in her than she showcased in this movie.

I did, however, like the fact that the film did not follow the easy scriptwriting mode - the classic middle and end, but it did something unexpected and quirky, I suppose.

Cant wait to see more films of her (my girlfriend and sisters agree!)

Inside Amy Schumer. It is on Comedy Central. Maybe you can watch the old episodes online.
