Not sure if this is a real group but here's a suggestion for progressive media

Here's a good reason

Russian Propaganda Machine ‘Russia Today’ is Essentially Their Version of Fox News -

It’s no secret that I (and most liberals) consider Fox News nothing more than a propaganda machine for the Republican party. It’s laughable that they’re even allowed to call themselves “news.” It’s not just that they’re clearly biased, it’s that they blatantly push opinions as facts and ignore reality to perpetuate myths.

Shows like The O’Reilly Factor, The Five or Hannity are portrayed as “news,” when they’re nothing more than conservative entertainment programs.

But, of course, they’re “fair and balanced.” Because what’s good propaganda without a ridiculously inaccurate slogan?

Many on Fox News even help perpetuate the right-wing talking point that if it’s not reported on Fox News (or other conservative outlets), it’s just lies told by the “liberal media.”

Because that’s basically the belief of many conservatives. That’s why it’s nearly impossible to convince them of anything. If Fox News (or other conservative media sources) aren’t reporting something – to them, it’s not factual. So whenever I use another source to debunk their lies, they dismiss that evidence as fiction because their sources didn’t report it.

It kind of reminds me of the recent story concerning Russia Today’s reporting of the downed Malaysian airliner.

It seems the Russian-owned “news” organization has been accused by a now former employee, London-based reporter Sara Firth, of purposefully reporting lies about the Malaysian airline that was recently shot down over Ukraine.

This follows a few months ago when news anchor Liz Wahl left the company over disagreements on how they were told to cover the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces.

See, Russia Today is basically nothing more than another method for the Russian government to try to control the truth. It’s a propaganda machine for Vladimir Putin.
