Central African Republic says scores killed in new clashes

At least 60 people have been killed in fighting in Central African Republic between former rebels and forces loyal to the president they ousted in March, officials say.

The president's spokesman said fighters loyal to Francois Bozize had attacked villages north-west of the capital.

This is the first large-scale operation launched by the former president's forces since he was toppled in March.
...
He accused pro-Bozize fighters of attacking members of the Muslim population.
