(57,936 posts)This is why we have to try to end the surveillance here. It will inevitably lead to repression of a more violent kind.
Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can never hurt you.
Some of our governments need to heed the wisdom in that sentence. By repressing language they are impeding progress in their countries.
Could happen here too.
