I just had my first two gardening articles published!

Articles not available on line (yet)....

yes, they are both about tomatoes!

I guess my career has now officially moved from chemist to change consultant to.....garden writer!

(I am also approaching 2/3 complete on the text for my first book - on tomatoes (of course) - Storey Publishing, which will come out some time next year!)

Well done, you!!

Like NYC_SKP I find what you're doing inspiring, too.

I LOVE tomatoes. Are you into the cooking side of things, as well as growing them? If so, do you have any recipes you can share?

gathering them together now.

Quite a few can be found on my food blog here http://nctomatoman.weebly.com/food-drink-and-recipe-blog.html - all sorts of recipes and random babbles about food and drink!

I know several people who would love to have a book about tomatoes (my family has already planted some indoors waiting on the weather to let up).

We just don't get enough heat on the PNW so I go a little berserk when I go south to visit in the warm (!) months.

Plus, I love a fellow writer's successes.

I love homegrown tomatoes! One of my fondest childhood experiences is being told to weed out the tomato patch in our huge garden. I would grab the salt shaker and proceed with gusto!

What I love is to teach - stand up in front of a room and get people excited about gardening. I don't like hearing my voice on tape, seeing myself on video, or even reading what I've written - it makes me squirm - I write it, submit it and then don't return to it if I can help it!

So I guess, yes, it is nice - but not for the attention, more for the ability to share important information with people....my favorite part if the history behind tomatoes, how the various families got them, etc.
