Ok, after all the hoopla over the NRA banning/not banning guns at the

convention Rachel Maddow did a segment on it last night.

Guns banned from musical and comedy performances.

Guns not banned from presidential hopeful's speeches if the carrier is licensed but nobody is checking licenses.

Gun vendors must disable guns on display for sale.

It's not clear whether the shoppers for those disabled guns can carry their own loaded and operational guns while they fondle the non-operational guns on display.

All at the discretion of the NRA, not a local or venue rule.

So it seems that the NRA is a bit schizoid on the matter.

The show is already up on the MSNBC site:

Second segment after the shooting of Walter Scott.

Or, howsabout NRA Board Member and typical gun fancier Teddy Nugent:

We're supposed to ignore it and give them the benefit of the doubt every time they bring their guns into a grocery store or restaurant.
