that you can't leave your home without a gun. The level of paranoia to need a gun to go to the grocery store or to take your children to a park or to church is beyond anything I can fathom.

What a sad and miserable way to live, imagining a need to protect yourself with a firearm when going about everyday activities in public.

Yet this need is so entrenched in a small group of Americans that politicians cater to their every need for a gun regardless of how counter intuitive it is. Guns in bars? Guns in church? Guns at political rallies? Guns in elementary schools? Guns at daycare centers?

If it weren't so frightening I'd feel pity for them.

and one of my customers owned a small business and carried large amounts of cash. He carried. His gun came in handy more than once. At one point one of his kids was being threatened by some bullies, and he was there. One of the bullies asked if he was carrying. He just answered, "Yup," and the bullies backed down.

Yes, he only answered their question and that is not a literal threat. Still, he and the bullies knew the threat of him using the weapon was implied. This is a very poor argument. It goes no where except to the eventual conclusion one can draw is that he would have shot them if he continued. Otherwise, the argument is drawing a conclusion based on itself (goes nowhere but in a circle).

Next time, before you embarrass yourself find out who you're talking to.

What bothers me and on occasionally frightens me is necroguniacs who are too terrified of life to leave their homes without a gun. Frightened animals are dangerous.
