And again - it happens again

This is posted in Gun Control Activism

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/dekalb-police-chief-responds-incident-elementary-s/nZTRH/

This time we got lucky. Michael Brandon Hill was (at this time) talked down by a school Adiministrative Assistant. Next time - the guy with a gun might just open fire. It's happened before. We know it can happen. It's already happened.

This time - it was an AK47. Brought to a school of kindergarten to fifth graders.

We ought to be ashamed of ourselves as a country.

1. Funny, I was told it's impossible to obtain an AK-47 in the US

as a reason for "proof" that 80% of guns in Mexico came from outside the US. More gunner lies.

impressed with her courage and fast thinking!

I just read the story in the NYT and was glad everyone was OK and the guy is in custody. But I am outraged by people on this very board who simply downplay or just avoid the fact that this has happened again (and will continue to happen the way things are going now).

Perhaps this should be cross posted in LBN or GD?

They don't care. They want their guns - they want their 'rights'. I think on the Left we have a strong 'anti government' segment as well. They can't acknowledge that the greater threat is the 20 year old violent sicko with a gun - the ruins their narrative.

That's why I wouldn't post it in GD or LBN. It's possible one of the gun nuts (and I have them on ignore - if I want to read that nonsense I'll go to Free Republic) has posted it somewhere . . . but I don't care about their opinions anymore.

They've made perfectly clear to me that 'human sacrifice' is aok with them as long as they get to own their AK-47.

JAG: {shooter} Michael Brandon Hill was talked down by a school Administrative Assistant.

Another exemption from wayno's proposition that the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with one. The lady was armed only with a prayer (as she put it).

Just another gem:We ought to be ashamed of ourselves as a country

Not all, or at least to different extents; largely those who oppose controlling wanton firearm possession & gunpolicy, like nra & goa saf et al.
Nra is beyond abashment, they consider it a thrill ride throughout the country, & use the constitution as a pretext.

7. How do you figure the dead in Newtown into that equation? Or all the other school shooting victims?

The woman here was a hero. But she just got lucky that her heroism worked. Most of the time it doesn't.
