(snip)

The bill, approved by legislators Tuesday night and currently awaiting Gov. Pat McCrory’s signature, allows concealed permit holders to take handguns to a range of places, including bars and playgrounds, and store guns in locked cars on school or university property.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to more than 7,100 thefts from vehicles last year, according to an Observer analysis of city data.

They also responded to more than 1,300 calls from Charlotte bars and taverns.

designed solely for the purpose of killing and maiming living things make ANYPLACE safer? Safer for people like Trayvon Martin? Safer for the child who finds an unattended gun and thinks it's a toy? Safer for the victim of a crime perpetrated by a criminal with a gun stolen from a parked car?

The NRA (and its supporters) is a terrorist organization, and should be designated as such.
