Reagan took our guns away

In 1988, The House passed, 413 to 4, a bill that would ban the manufacture, sale or possession of any plastic firearm that could evade detection by X-ray machines or metal detectors.

Now using the logic from gun nuts that limiting magazine capacities, or different types of firearms is "taking away our guns", wouldn't that mean, in 1988, Raygun ALSO took away yur guns?

In 1988, The House passed, 413 to 4, a bill that would ban the manufacture, sale or possession of any plastic firearm that could evade detection by X-ray machines or metal detectors.

House member at the time Dick 'Lawyer Slayer' Cheney was one of the 4 who voted nay on this bill. I guess he thought it an infringement on american citizens right to keep & bear plastic firearms on board airliners.
Dick was the gunnut who later became vice president under gwbush & the two lived up to liberal's portentious predictions that the nra would have the white house on their board of directors.
Dick also went on a hunting trip & nearly killed his lawyer friend, who still has a shotgun pellet lodged next to his heart (how that song go? ooooo, what a lucky man, he izzzzz...) , as dick spun about to blast a just released penned up pheasant from a cage (peta was incensed). After the accident I heard dick then turned to fishing from a barrel.

Dick was a bit delusional during his vice presiduncy, predicting americans would be greeted as liberators in iraq, that iraq would be self sufficient within a couple years due their oil, & that the war was justified since saddam hussein definitely had weapons of mass destruction.

Hope you enjoyed the trip down memory lane, dick.

He's just that kind of creep.

But, I also enjoyed this little trip down Dick Cheney memory lane

He's really the grossest thing. Worse than Agnew. He's just gross. I have no idea how his wife lives with him.

Oh and Cheney and that guy that he shot weren't friends. Cheney never apologized for the incident. Cheney is just effing evil. How can anyone chose this guy as a running mate is beyond me. If Bush wanted a defense hawk, why didn't he just go with McCain.

For reading pleasure or displeasure. All about the Cheney shooting:

News accounts routinely described Whittington as Cheney's "old friend" and "hunting buddy." In fact, the two men barely knew each other. Before the shooting, they had met briefly only three times since the mid-1970s and had never gone hunting together before. "The most you could say is that he was an acquaintance," Whittington says.

Nearly five years on, he's still waiting for Dick Cheney to say he's sorry.
