Related: About this forumHow exactly do I delete my account?
I made the mistake of questioning Dear Leader Sherrod Brown for co-sponsoring PIPA in a thread, and my post was hidden on the grounds that I'm a "right-wing troll" because I refuse to give fellatio to Dear Hollywood.
I'm wondering how exactly I delete my account. I've searched the tabs at the top of the screen and can't find anything.

(53,661 posts)I'm not sure why people ask this question.
Do they feel they don't have sufficient self-control to just log out and not log back in?
Or the courage to delete the bookmark from their browser?
I have have trouble believing these posts.

(146 posts)I've received 'warnings' about my comments that I feel may have been judged a little TOO sensitively. It seems that I've offended the 'Jury' and have been banned from commenting for periods of time. If people can't take a joke then why bother commenting. I've seen much worse things said than my posts and yet I see no punishment of the offender. I'm not thin-skinned, in fact, I think it's the opposite. I'd just rather not be a part of a 'community' that lacks a sense of humor or the ability to understand a humorous post.
I find the site a good place to see and read articles that I don't find elsewhere. I also liked to comment on things that I thought added humor to otherwise contentious posts. However, I guess my comments weren't in line with the EUA. Regardless, I'll be taking Ruby's advice and 'close' my account. I'll still be viewing, I just won't participate anymore.

(1,933 posts)I'd just love to know exactly WHO on that jury decided to hide my benign post when
there are such vulgar and obnoxious posts that remain AGAINST ME in the same
thread.

By having pain, you will toughen. By toughening, you will become strong. By being strong, you will be challenged. By being challenged, you will defend. By defending, you will see. By seeing, you will see there is no way out.
