Just recently my android tablet keeps crashing on DU.

I will bring up a thread. Before I can reply to the post, the page crashes.

No problems when I use my phone on DU, just my tablet.

1. DU is pretty vanilla. Hard to crash!

Need more info before even thinking about helping you. Most likely a browser issue.

Worst case you might restart, clear caches, history and data or even reinstall the browser if that's possible.

Worst I've had is a network slowdown on any gadget here.

If it's Google, anything is possible. Apple stuff plays well with DU.

As I have noted, browsers are complex and have tons of settings. The phone was asking me to do endless CAPTCHAS until I found one obscure setting that helped. I'd have to look it up.

Good luck.

to Settings, then Google service, and clicked a couple things and it's fixed. Lol

Edited to add, it's doing it again. It only crashes on du. Got me puzzled, maybe it's time for a newer updated tablet.

3. I can't help with android, but Google let 77 or 239 malicious apps into its store before removing them.

Not saying that's it.

But here's a binary test you can try.
Try a different browser on your tablet.
If you get the same results, it's likely the system.
If you get different results, you've solved it.

You can't turn off javascript. DU just fails to work when you do that.

Good luck with the detective work.

Can't speak to old gear and software.
