Are there plans to make the recommenders of responses visible? (Original Post) Ptah Jun 2024 OP
I don't understand. SarahD Jun 2024 #1
Each OP has the option to see who recommended a thread. Ptah Jun 2024 #2
OK. Thanks. SarahD Jun 2024 #3
I like to see who else besides me recommends a post. Ptah Jun 2024 #4
Sounds awkward and ungainly. A bunch of needless clutter. emulatorloo Jun 2024 #5
Twitter allows you to see who liked a post, both OPs and replies. Doesn't Facebook do the same? highplainsdem Jun 2024 #6

I'm not cool with anything that might reveal too much about me. What kind of recommendation? Can you add a little context?

I'm wondering if we will be able to have that information for any recommendations of responses.

I generally don't look.to see who recced my post. I kind of like the idea of maximum anonymity.

Speaking as a retired graphic, user interface and web designer

And I can’t think of any other forum that has that. Certainly not Reddit.

Curious, what would the purpose be?

There's been talk of Twitter possibly changing that, so only the person who posted a message can see who liked it, rather than anyone being able to see who liked it. And the current ability to be able to look at other people's Twitter accounts and see all the messages they've liked (which DU allows) would be gone then.
