Can we get the "hide smilies" button fixed, please?

When you click on the "hide smilies" button you get dropped to the bottom of the form. You should get dropped back into the textbox just after where you inserted the smilie.

A second feature the old DU had, which may be browser specific, but if I filled out text in both the Discussion title box the Discussion text box & then went to the OP to read something & then returned to my post using Alt + arrow keys to navigate, the text in both boxes was still there. Since the new DU, only the text in the Discussion text is still there. This is less important than the smilies button but it's always a drag to lose features.

1. I agree this is irritating.

I click the Hide button, and get dropped down to the bottom of the page--then I have to *scroll* back up to either the text box to continue typing, or to find the Preview or Post buttons; they go off my screen. Very annoying.
