Problem with paying for membership...

With a VISA prepaid debit card. I have always been able to use these until recently and I don't understand. Paypal rejects the card. I bought it yesterday for the amt I intend to spend.

for this earlier - despite a clean credit record.

I guess their evil goal is to frustrate us into signing up with them.

I refuse PayPal.

I never gamble. As soon as I got the bill I called the credit card company and they cancelled the card.

Don't know why the prepaid card wouldn't work but agree staying away from PayPal is the way to go.

Transaction if you pay as a one time payer anyway. It's still paypal who takes the payment.

10. I had not used PayPal for many years

I had to update my account and it was a pain in the butt. Kept telling them to call me and finally they gave up and took my info.

One reason I only do In-line banking and not online banking. I go to the bank and stand in line.

And I function from a debit card to my credit union acct, never use that for online anything. So I go to the store and buy a gift credit card for a given amount and that was what I made my online purchases with but now there's some issue with them so I'm sitting here with a pricey piece of plastic that I can't seem to use where I intended.

When you try to pay for a DU membership and only want to make a one time no signing up to paypal, you still have to go through paypal, they are who is declining the payments. Not the first time this issue has come up in the past few months.
