I just noticed tonight that it's missing.
Sure hope we can get it back!

I believe the trans pride flag smiley was added relatively recently, so I think what happened is that the post pages for DU4 were already complete when that smiley got added on DU3. Then when we switched over to DU4 we did not remember to update the smiley list, so we ended up with an older version of the list. I'll look into adding it back today.

(22,540 posts)It might take a little time to sync up depending on various caching issues.
If you don't see it immediately, try visiting this link:
https://upload.democraticunderground.com/du4scripts/js_quicktags.js
Once there you should see a wall of code -- hold down the Shift key on your browser and click the Refresh button and you'll get the latest version of that file. Once you've done that, you should see the trans pride smiley in the list.

I tried going to that link but couldn't figure out what to do on my tablet (the keyboard doesn't display unless I'm in an app I can type into). I'll keep checking periodically. Thanks for taking care of this!

(22,540 posts)The file I sent you to is a Javascript file which controls the smilies and other post formatting options. If your browser has an old version of that file in its cache, you won't see the trans pride smiley, because that's only included in the latest version.
A Shift-Refresh while looking at that file would normally force your browser to download the latest version -- but as mentioned, you can't do this on a tablet.
This means you'll either have to wait for your browser to clear its own cache, or you can clear the cache manually. Please let me know if you would like information on how to do this, and let me know what kind of tablet you have.

(18,670 posts)Cleared browsing history and Cached images and files. Still couldn't see that smiley. Went to the link you posted, still can't see it. Do I need to clear cookies, too?

(22,540 posts)Go there, then go to the Start Discussion page and see if you can see the smiley.
If you can see it, then I don't think the issue is your browser, it's at our end.

(18,670 posts)Thanks!
Seems this is a sync issue at our end then... the change has appeared on one server but not some of the others. We'll look into this and get it fixed.
As a temporary workaround for now, if you want to use the smiley but don't see it, just change "www" in your address bar to "upload" and that should do the trick.
