DU Community Help

Last night I was logged in and logged out for about 1/2 hour. When I logged back in, I was sent to the home page that has the Sign In button on it. I tried 3 times and kept getting sent to that page. I was logged in on my phone, but the devices aren't linked. I posted an o.p. last night about the problem and tried something else. I had also tried some gin, so I don't remember what I tried, but I got a screen that said I couldn't log in because I was already logged in. I thought the problem was solved, so I deleted the post.
I logged out and went to bed. When I got up just now, I tried to log in, and got the same problem. I thought if I deleted all of the log in links in the history on my laptop, I could try again. I saw a link in my history from last night that said I was already logged in. I clicked on that and here I am. I don't think that sounds right. Wanted to report this interesting event.
This is a typical symptom of a problem that occurs when you need to clear/reset a cookie. If you can let me know which device and browser youre using, I can give you instructions on how to fix it.

I pulled up the systems settings and the delete cookie options. If I can just specifically delete cookies for DU, I'd rather do that than all of the site cookies
Thank you!
Scroll down to the Delete specific cookies section and click Delete cookies from a site for the instructions. You can delete all democraticunderground.com cookies.
You may be signed out of DU and have to sign in again after doing this, but it should fix the problem.

(19,023 posts)As always, I am more concerned about DU security than that it's a problem for me I'll let you know how it goes
I couldn't see an option to delete specific cookies, either in my OS or Google, so I just deleted them all. I got logged back in okay.
Thank you for the help!
