Related: About this forumWhen I view the list of replies to a thread,
some of them are highlighted in yellow. What does this signify?

(22,540 posts)Take a look at top of the reply tree (that's what we call the list of replies below an OP) -- you should see three buttons which say NONE, 5 NEWEST, and RECOMMENDED. If you're on a larger monitor, it should also say "Highlight:" in front of them.
Selecting NONE will highlight no replies.
Selecting 5 NEWEST will highlight the five most recent replies that were posted in the thread.
Selecting RECOMMENDED will highlight any replies in the thread which have received more than five recommendations.
You can change this at any time depending on what you want to see. If you want to keep it a particular way, the software will remember your setting so whichever you select, it will look that way on all threads until you change it.
By the way, the yellow highlight lines are independent from the icons to the left of the post titles in the reply tree. Those icons will always be yellow when something is newly posted, and white after you click the forum's "Mark" button -- this is to let you know which replies are new since you last clicked "Mark."
