but there is no means to do so. Didn't think my post was "kooky." Perhaps you could guide me through this.

(2,000 posts)If so, you can try replying to that DU mail to ask for more clarification about why your post was removed. There are a number of reasons post might removed, and an alert is reviewed by a jury of your DU peers. You might want to review the rules and see if you can figure out why they pulled what you posted.
Here's a link to the rules, which I found via terms of service link at the bottom of the main page.

(2,672 posts)Noticed another post describing same issue. Perhaps mine was a bit more esoteric. They claimed messenger status. Not looking to break rules, but the system to respond is perhaps in its early stages.

(2,672 posts)Just wondering why my post was deleted. Did not, in my estimation, break any rules. Another poster discussed same issue. Unable to send mail to automated message.

(2,000 posts)That covers a lot of things.
I do serve on juries, but not in the past week so I wasn't involved, never saw your post. I had a post removed once, and while I forget what the charge was, I recall thoughtfully raging about guns and gun control, and suggesting some extreme actions. Some of what I wrote might have been kooky, ridiculous, or even violent, and a jury decided it was. I understood why when I reread my post, they didn't need to explain in detail, even though I felt I'd toned down my rant.
Several people on this thread have suggested possible reasons, having seen your post before it was removed. Post 11 recalled it was about the current situation in the middle East, and you saying something in the "kooky" category about people who support Israel. Don't focus on the word "kooky" because it might have been perceived as bigoted or extremist. The US policy supports Israel, and most Jews support Israel, so saying anything negative about those who support Israel might be seen as that, anti American or anti Israel. You may feel what you wrote was reasonable, but a jury decided it was not appropriate for DU. There is no appeal process.
We all agree we can bash republicans on this site. As for other groups and topics, we need to be careful and understand there is diversity here. I've seen a number of posts that note the friction and divisions lately, regarding support for either side, but more for those who say both sides are to blame. This is a very divisive topic, and I think we all need to be extra sensitive to it. I've copied the rule in question, and again, it covers a lot of ground. I hope you can learn from this and move forward!
Do not promote ridiculous, bigoted, or extreme-fringe conspiracy theories. Do not promote extreme fringe views. Do not reference hate sites or other extremist/fringe sources.
Why we have this rule: Democrats are supposed to be part of the "reality-based community." Some amount of skepticism toward powerful institutions is healthy and appropriate, but that doesn't mean every paranoid fantasy is true. Posts about mass shootings being "false flag" operations, 9/11 being a controlled demolition, no airplane at the Pentagon, chemtrails, black helicopters, the Illuminati, or other nonsense make us all look like fools. This website may have the word "underground" in our name, but we are not extreme fringe.

(19,720 posts)I got zapped for saying are you kidding me? I never intended it to be malicious but someone took it that way and obviously, the jury did, too. I dont know why this happened to you but emotions are running high on that subject even tho were here to discuss issues.

(41,356 posts)I clicked away because I decided it just wasnt worth my time telling you that someone would probably alert on it. I figured youd find out soon enough. But, I knew someone was going to.
This is what I think most likely happened. Now this is only what I think, but It probably wasnt the kooky - it was the conspiracy theory part of the rule.
There was something in your post about people who support Israel being provincial Americans who care about their pocketbooks or something close to that. Which comes off sounding a lot like the old trope about Jews and money.
I never read any post from you before and have no idea who you are. But you seem honestly confused as to why your post was removed and I am simply offering you a possible explanation as to how some people may have taken it.

(19,720 posts)While reading the post, I didnt take it as the posters opinion but that this opinion was what some people might think. It is repulsive but I didnt think it worthy of a rejection as it wasnt the posters personal opinion. This site is Friendly forums for passionate Dems and some threads are certainly that!

(2,672 posts)I only mentioned that Mehdi Hasaan had presented a more worldly view of the conflict comparing Russia control of Ukraine with Israeli control of Palestine. I mentioned that Biden was only dealing with having to raise tax dollars for his support of Israel and Ukraine. Another poster mentioned the same thing a few posts later.
My biggest complaint is the appeal process is not working. When it says appeal by clicking here it takes you to error.

(464 posts)I was angry enough I pretty much knew knew my acidic response would get the death penalty! LoL. It did.
I was never sure totally what pushed me over the cliff on the other two although I had already received warnings. I was well aware my freedom of expression was quite narrow.
It's all OK. I don't have a right to this website. Posting is a privilege. If I invested the time and money to create my own website, I'd certainly reserve my right to associate with like-minded patriots! Break my eggshells and au revoir! LoL
We're I running things, I'd inform folks of why I was cutting them off. But, nothing says I have to. It's probably smart business though.
Still...I love the website!
