Related: About this forumA few DU4 bugs, plus a few comments
First, where can I post to where the admins will see it? I thought there used to be an "Ask the Admins" forum (or something like that) in legacy DU. Is there a special dedicated forum for continued commenting on issues with DU4? DU4 still isn't "all there" yet.
Bugs:
When I mouse-over the NAVIGATE and MY STUFF buttons, the pointer turns in to a text select pointer (the vertical I-beam shape). This should be a link select pointer (the little hand with index finger extended). Same with the Share, Alert and Rec buttons in posts.
At the end of the Latest Breaking News column at the very bottom right of the main DU window, there is a link depicted as a blue bar with an "ARCHIVES" label. When you click on this, it doesn't go to the LBN archives. It links back to the DU main page.
The following are not bugs, but are issues with formatting that make the site less navigable overall:
- The Left Column is too big and prominent. Headline text size and column width are too large. Left Column should be narrower - similar to the Trending and Greatest columns. And, the Latest Breaking News should be higher on the page, above the fold, with Trending and Greatest.
- The LBN column just has the headline. It's plain and there's too much white space around the headlines. Please modify to include the name of the poster and the source at a minimum. Include the first couple of lines of the post, as it was in legacy DU, if possible. The date/time of posting would be useful as well.
- The column on the right - as you scroll to the bottom of the page - has boxes containing five posts from forums that don't seem to have special significance and that I don't subscribe to. Also, it is unclear why these five posts were chosen for these windows. Are these the latest 5 posts in these forums? Is this a running tab of the 5 most popular or most rec'd or most commented posts? I have clicked back and forth and can't figure out what the selection criteria are for the 5 posts in these boxes. In any case, I don't want to see these boxes. For me, I get boxes with 5 posts each from Issue Forums, then Culture Forums, then Alliance Forums, and then Region Forums. Why these forums?
- In between each of the forum boxes mentioned above, there is a video from Latest Videos. The selection criteria for these videos isn't clear. There are 4 videos displayed here. Are these the latest posted videos? Or vids with with the most recs? Views? Comments?
Thanks.

(11,463 posts)or how much zoomed in or out one is. For example, at my usual window width, Latest Breaking News was relegated to the bottom of the page, and it was just the subject lines -- there was not the usual 50 or so word beginning of each post.
But when I widened the window, or zoomed out (with Control Minus), or went full screen ( F11 ), there was this magnificent 4-column version, and my beloved Latest Breaking News was near the top of the 4th column (after the 5 Greatest Discussions lines). And with the 50 or so word beginning of each post.
This from a Windows 10 computer perspective.
Control Zero restores the default 100% zoom. Control Plus zooms in.

Thanks.

Although the subject lines of all LBN posts are a click on the left menu (one of the 3 main forums kept on the home page left menu), the blurbs (first 50 or so words of he posts) of 15 (25-10) are lost in the transition.

That's on the DU homepage.

(3,249 posts)The "Preview" and "Post" buttons - when creating and replying to posts - use the normal select pointers upon mouseover. This should be the link select pointer.
The 'unsubscribe' button uses the text select pointer upon mouseover. Should be link select.
