UPDATE:
We think we might have resolved this issue. If you were experiencing it, can you reply to let me know if you have seen any improvement, or not? If it's still happening, try a hard refresh of the page -- hold down the Shift key, then click the refresh button.
ORIGINAL POST:
It would be really helpful if someone could email me a pic of what theyre seeing, since Im having trouble reproducing the problem. If youre able to take a screenshot, you can email me directly at earlg@democraticunderground.com
Thanks!

(9,200 posts)I have not even tried du4 on my iphone or fire tablet. Will do so now.
On Edit: It appears substantially the same result on both iphone and fire tablet

(22,540 posts)As is the info about this happening on your different devices. The fact that the issue is consistent for you on different devices implies that the folks having trouble with this might be experiencing an issue with their connection to DU.
Just out of curiosity while I'm still looking for clues here, does the problem only happen if your devices are connected to your home wifi? Could you try switching your phone to its cell connection, instead of to your wifi? That would force your device to connect to DU from a different IP address. If would give me further info, depending on whether the problem still exists or if it clears up when you do that.

(9,200 posts)I switched off wifi on my iphone and went to cellular data. Then I closed the du tab. Then I reloaded du and attempted night mode again. same result. It made no improvement/difference.

(22,540 posts)This is a bit technical but if you can do it, it would be super helpful.
1) Go to Account Settings and switch to Night Mode
2) On the left side of the page where you're seeing the list of folders but the text is not appearing, right click one of the links where the text should be, and select "Inspect" -- a separate window will open with code in it.
3) Take a screenshot of that window and email it to me. That should allow me to see exactly where the problem lies. Once you've got the screenshot, you can close the window with the code.

(1,856 posts)I am one who has night mode problems. All of the text is black as well as the background. And I had to change mode on my phone to finally get to where I can see the default.
But (and I havent tested this yet), My Edge settings are also on night mode as I have problems with bright screens. So maybe the two night settings conflict. I will test and get back to this thread.

(1,856 posts)Changing Edge back to normal still has black texts. I see that others sent in stuff so I will wait.
