Please describe du jury duty?

A box appeared asking if I would serve on du jury. The box disappeared after a bit.

What does jury duty entail? What about the disappearing request? Is there a response time limit?

Anything else to know?

Looking at your profile, you have a 90% chance of being selected to serve on a jury. COL Mustard Jun 2022 #3

Juries are convened if someone alerts on a post. You have, I think, five minutes to decide to accept jury duty and vote to either remove the post of let it stand. If you don't respond in the time frame, they move on to the next randomly selected person. If I remember correctly, a jury is six people who anonymously vote on a post. It can either be removed or left. If it's removed, then the poster is notified (and their chances of being on a jury go down by 20% for 90 days). It's all straightforward and let us police the forum instead of the mods having to do it all.

(I was just on a jury and I voted to let the post stand...it didn't seem to me that it violated the rule.)

and withdrew because I didn’t have strong knowledge of the issue.

Fun being an almost live du person.
