computer can't connect to internet.

Windows 10 updated last night now Settings says Ethernet connected to internet but chrome can't connect. Message says "There is something wrong with proxy server, or the address is incorrect."

This happened a few times in the past but was very short term.

Any suggestions?

In control panel-troubleshooting section. There is one for internet and one for network adapters. Try both.

It probably was accidentally enabled during the update process.I remember this being very easy, but I can’t remember where the setting is. Probably in network settings.
You should be able find the solution with a google search for “disable proxy server.”
