Any recommendations on good eats? Also, anyplace there where I might be able to see the lunar eclipse or will the light wash be too bright?

May 15–16, 2022 — Total Lunar Eclipse — New York
Time Event
10:27 pm Sun, May 15 Partial Eclipse begins Partial moon eclipse starts - moon is getting red.
11:29 pm Sun, May 15 Total Eclipse begins Total moon eclipse starts - completely red moon.
12:11 am Mon, May 16 Maximum Eclipse Moon is closest to the center of the shadow.

Lights may interfere, but many will probably work on figuring it out.

Haven't be near there for a long time, so no idea about good eats.

I thought you said "extended hangover"

So, if you can see one moon and not two, HAPPY ECLIPSE VIEWING.
On the west coast, it looks like (darkened) moonrise around 9:00 PM. (totality begins at 8:30 Pacific Daylight, below the horizon)
If I read my star app right.
With "moonglow", it should be visible.
One way to find out.
