Jury for a post on a closed thread?

I was called for a jury duty, the post was down the thread but the first thing I saw was that the OP was "auto removed." So I just cancelled my duty. I think that when the OP is hidden, that no one can add to it. Right?

2. The MIRT team moderators removed the post (and the poster) before the jury had to rule.

I got that jury call too. I let it go as moot.

It must have had two posts in the same thread alerted on. Two people dissing each other, I'm guessing. I went ahead and finished the jury duty, but, like you say, it probably didn't matter.

4. If a Spammer or disruptor posted on the thread before it was removed, they can still post elsewhere

I would have finished the jury duty.

5. The "defendant" was not a spammer, but reacted to the one who was

and whose OP was removed.

The "charge" was no personal attack, I think, or no bigotry.

The "offensive" post was something like: "this is your first post and you are going after a Democratic leader?", or something..

Once I saw that the whole thread would be locked, I did not see any reason to proceed.

6. Okay, If the poster was objecting to a removed post, that does make sense

However, IIRC, even if a post is removed, a jury can still see it.
