Not allowing French spelling in the thread title?

I tried to put a new post about the French presidential debate. The French spelling is débat with the emphasis (or whatever the term in) on the e.

While I managed to put it in the body of the post, not on the title. It kept listed is as Dbat. I finally left it.

Oh, and I copied and pasted it..

NOTE: previewing your post will turn the html entities into the characters which get deleted when posted. If you preview, hit the back button in your browser to return to the title with html entities for posting. Editing a post will also cause deletion of those characters, you need to add them back in to make then display properly.

Hopefully the coming DU software updates will address this issue.
