I’ve sent a question to “Ask the Administrators” a few days ago, but have not heard back yet.

I need to know for logging back in. As long as I am not missing anything I just view it as a minor annoyance (with myself).

Thanks for filling that info in. I was wondering why it was that I needed to log in.

Oh, well...

Click the stay logged in button.

I’m occasionally logged off because of phone update or whatever, but that button will solve your problem.

This will force your browser to ask if you want to save password. If you select yes, then you should automatically login from now on.

Then when I go to log in it says I'm already logged in.

Just now, I forced a log out then logged back in, checking the box to remain in. So far, so good.

I use various cookie "auto delete" add ons to Firefox, and I lose the login now and then. I try to "whitelist" DU.

Still experimenting with this stuff.

On Firefox, the "bypass paywalls clean" extension seems to help in general. A lot of sites keep a cookie to record your "free" quota of visits before they paywall you ( called a soft paywall). IIRC, the extension regularly clears cookies of such sites. And more.

IT department at my grad school and he updated our system and helped us get the best technology we needed (at our level of competence and current needs). It was a good call. As I am now researching and writing my 3rd book, writing in Word and having him convert my text into googledocs so my editor/designer could work on it.

So, long story and it has been a long ride. At last I feel competent in what I need to be competent in and we have a valuable resource in a young professional who knows and respects our needs at this point in our lives.
