1. I remember that line, but not the full context....

But I thought that she meant "was the new black" in the way it's typically used in terms of fashion or pop culture. Like "strips are the new black" or "Paisley is the new black". Meaning the fashionable staple that everyone wants/has to have. I thought she meant it in terms of being a strong, assertive, aggressive woman (assuming that's what she meant by "bitch" in terms of how our society sees it) was the new in vogue thing to be.

Again, maybe I'm remembering it wrong but I don't remember it being in terms of a racial thing.

Do you have the original clip or a link to it? Now I'm curious as to just how bad my memory really is.

but it wasn't said in a fashionista way. it was said through the clinton vs obama campaign and was a reference to that. i do think clinton had a lot of misogyny to deal with.

First I had to look up mea culpa on accounta I aint got much book learnin. You gotta watch out when you read them studies especially if they don't say what your goin to the doctor for. 3 kinda lies- lies, damn lies and statistics. If ya wanna talk about disadvantaged groups being poor is at the very bottom, the only advantage a poor male has over a poor female is the ability to perform harder physical labor, add poor to black and they slip lower than the poor white female and you could go on and on about disadvantages but that just gives people the excuse to quit and justifies cynicism. My point there being, a dog that only has 3 legs does not know he has 3 legs, get's around fine and is just as happy as the one with four. But I don't expect the media to stop tellin the dog he has 3 leg's anytime soon.

Also, I heard Tina Fey wears glasses because her eyes are to pointy for contacts.
