"I can hire one-half of the working class to kill the other half."

After hiring a mob of thugs as strikebreakers, 19th Century railroad tycoon Jay Gould said "I can hire one-half of the working class to kill the other half." In this one moment of rare candor, Mr. Gould exposes the inexorable Grand Game Plan of the super-rich 01% of the world's population.

There it is. Plane. And. Simple. No frills. No pretenses.

This comment affords us a stark glimpse into the darkly insidious mindset of heartless greed, whose relentless lust for ever-more riches is incrementally lock-stepping our so-called "civilization" toward massive "depopulation", complete economic meltdown, cataclysmic climate change events, increasingly frequent false-flag "attacks", neo-feudal corporate capitalism run amok to the brink of self-annihilation, much of it under the guise of "counter-terrorism".

* Some 1,271 government organizations and 1,931 private companies work on programs related to counterterrorism, homeland security and intelligence in about 10,000 locations across the United States.

* An estimated 854,000 people, nearly 1.5 times as many people as live in Washington, D.C., hold top-secret security clearances.

* In Washington and the surrounding area, 33 building complexes for top-secret intelligence work are under construction or have been built since September 2001. Together they occupy the equivalent of almost three Pentagons or 22 U.S. Capitol buildings - about 17 million square feet of space.

* Many security and intelligence agencies do the same work, creating redundancy and waste. For example, 51 federal organizations and military commands, operating in 15 U.S. cities, track the flow of money to and from terrorist networks.

* Analysts who make sense of documents and conversations obtained by foreign and domestic spying share their judgment by publishing 50,000 intelligence reports each year - a volume so large that many are routinely ignored.

Make no mistake, there is an uber-rich "break-away" bunch of "insiders" operating in and through our "shadow government", to implement Mr. Gould's end game. The sooner we all wake up to this unpleasant fact, the more chance we have (narrow though it may be) to somehow derail this run-away corporate train to Hell on earth.

There is no question that we live in a Plutocracy. That the Congress and Senate have been bought and paid for is painfully obvious however I don't see the connection with the anti-terrorist organizations and the wealthy.

The connection is increasingly obvious of late, and you can see it popping up here and there, if you connect the dots.
I think one key to the link is "security contractors" like Blackwater, which in turn have obvious links to both the
corporate giants like BP, as well as to the CIA, et. al.

of Florida who bragged in his narration that he helped put Bush in office and influenced Bush's decision to invade Iraq, saying that he couldn't go into details because it was probably illegal.

It was on last night. I wonder if anyone posted a clip.

that the 1% had to raise income taxes on themselves, institute rural electrification and Social Security, and force lots of regulation of the banking industry, just to keep the US from following Russia into Communism.

Bring it on! We'll have IGDs! (Improvised Guillotine Devices)

In 1933, he became involved in a controversy known as the Business Plot, when he told a congressional committee that a group of wealthy industrialists were planning a military coup to overthrow Franklin D. Roosevelt. The purported plotters wanted Butler to lead a mass of armed veterans in a march on Washington and then become a dictator. Butler never met with any of the principals, and the individuals supposedly involved all denied the existence of a plot. The media ridiculed the allegations. Biographer Hans Schmidt portrays him as the victim of a small-time trickster.,[2] though Congressional hearings found Butler's claims to be factual.

We used to actually listen to whistleblowers, at least to some extent. Now, not so much.

We aren't just a banana republic waiting to happen...we are a whole continent, and that's a lot of space, and with a proud history of many such people as Smedley Butler. We aren't the incestuous, disease-ridden, languishing kind of nation that falls easily to pot, not everywhere, and not for lack of Corporations trying to corrupt the masses, either.

For example: the cable industry is in a swivet. They fully expected the new generation to buy a mortgage and $100+ worth of cable every month. See how well that's turning out?

The entire economy is going through de-comsumerization--kicking and screaming. It's a tossup how it will evolve. I'm betting on People over Corporations, because the corporations are too stupid to live.

With the improvements in technology since then, I think it would only take 5%-10% of the working class to kill the other 90%-95%.
