How can anyone stand this corporate takeover scam?

If it's secret it sucks.

Not too hard to understand.

Now the next 10 things I would like to say would get me banned, so I won't.

1. It is very hard pill to swallow, yes.

He's so cool, and seems so decent.

And yet.........this.

2. Hate is a strong word. Obama personally seems like a good guy, a moral guy, a good father.

And he has done some good stuff.

But TPP does suck. We need to oppose it with every fiber in our beings because it is a corporate greed-head screw job.

So is TTIP. So was NAFTA.

And........this made me want to puke..........one of the MAIN reasons we didn't get single payer healthcare and instead got a Heritage Foundation taxpayer funded welfare program for insurance companies is because of the clause in the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) that prevents the US from forming healthcare or any other existing industry into a 'service monopoly.' Got to allow that 'competition' you know...

(Not you, Scottie, but if anyone else wants to say, "Oh, they never had the votes," don't bother because I don't buy it. If the worm Reid would have ended the silent filibuster practice in the Senate at the same time, and Obama would have used the bully pulpit and activated the millions of us who were his fervent supporters BECAUSE HE CAMPAIGNED ON NATIONAL HEALTHCARE, they sure as hell could have passed single payer. But Reid and so many of the other Third Wayers are little more than empty suits enriching themselves by bathing in the shit of corporate corruption.)

3. Obama has accomplished quite a few good things...especially concerning the circumstances

with the Repub Congress stonewalling everything....

that said, i find his not going after the banksters, not fighting for single-payer, continued foreign military expansion (just in a modified form), failure to close Guantanamo, these trade agreements, expansion of spying on everyone, etc....all of these are supposedly offset by the mere mention of the 'good' things...

it is a form of acceptance that encourages further empowerment of the PTB, the 1%, to continue the status quo and direct as much of the wealth of this country, and all countries in fact, to themselves and their corporations...and the rest of us be damned...

he has been a good President, all in all...but after the Bush years it was a low bar, and Obama was able to talk his way over that bar...he really didn't have to leap...
