2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumUh oh! Looks like Trump the Terrible is having difficulty filling out his administration..
For example, the President-elect has filled the top jobs on his National Security Council staff. But Julie Pace of the Associated Press reports that many of the NSC staff jobs remain vacant just days before the inauguration.
"The big-name jobs are obviously filled, but at the National Security Council and some of the other White House agencies people are expecting a lot of empty desks when he moves in on Friday," Pace said Sunday on CNN's "Inside Politics."
"Again, this isn't something that the public will always see. But these behind-the-scenes jobs at the White House are really crucial to keeping operations running, especially in crisis moments. "

Gee, I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't love to work for the incoming administration.
Sad!

Answer: all of them.
They have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

Hope so! However, I am disturbed about his firing all the ambassadors on Jan. 20 with no one to head up the embassies. That is just reckless and frightening.
Such unbelievable hubris and ineptitude is mind-boggling.

(47,209 posts)Are very competent and it will be fine.... but I don't think anyone knows how many of the embassy's support workers will be remaining. And honestly, just the idea of so many people who have not had this kind of responsibility working with Trump's new hires- also very inexperienced it seems.
I've gone through some work shake ups where a lot of roles were suddenly filled with inexperienced people with the wrong skills sets and the company still hasn't recovered five years later. They haven't figured out that it was a mistake.
